Hi!  My name is Randy Land.
(TRAILSHACK username: "Ranchez")

I am a hiker/backpacker and am very interested in ultralight backpacking and hand-made gear.  One feature I hope to provide soon is a way for you to share your tips, tricks and stories.

I really hope that if you have not already done so, you'll sign up as a member.  We are currently building more features and I promise to do everything I can to provide the tools you need to make this a useful site as we grow.

As a member, we hope you will contribute trail descriptions that we can make available to everyone.  Look for the "Suggest a trail..." links as you use the site. You'll find them on most pages under the State sections and on trail reports.
